Barnwell County stretches across the southern portion of South Carolina's Midlands. Mixed forests
of hardwoods and pine cover the rolling hills. The county is conveniently located near several major cities in both
South Carolina and Georgia. Just 65 miles from the state capital of Columbia, 98 miles from the historic coastal
city of Charleston, and 42 miles from Augusta, Georgia, the home of the Master's golf tournament, living in Barnwell County
will always ensure enjoyable trips are just a short drive away.
The atmosphere in Barnwell County is pleasant year round. With only mild winters and warm summers glowing
with Southern sun, the average annual temperature is 63 degrees Fahrenheit. Approximately 47 inches of rainfall a year keep
the county's crops growing healthy. (from www.barnwellcountysc.com)
